How do I find out my review link on a review platform site?

The review buttons link your RateMe.link page to your review page on the platforms.

Most of the review platforms, such as Yelp, Tripadvisor, and others let you link directly to your review page via a normal URL such as "https://example.com/your/profile/url/writereview" This is the URL you put into the "Link to your profile" field.

For most of the sites, we show a general pattern in the RateMe.link button generator of how a review URL for the platform might look like.

The Standard Way to Finding Your Review Link URL on a Review Platform Site

Getting the address or URL of your review page on a review platform usually is straighforward:

  1. Go and visit the review platform site you want your button to link to.
This is best done in a new browser window or tab, so you can switch back to your RateMe.link page easily.
  2. Use the site's search functionality and navigate to your profile.
In most cases that means typing the name of your business into their search form and clicking on the respective search result.
  3. If there's a button or link that says something like "write a review" or similar, click it. Otherwise just stay on your profile page.
  4. Now copy the URL from the address bar on the top of your browser.
Usually, you just have to click or tap in the address bar and copy the highlighted URL.
  5. Go back to your RateMe.link browser window and paste the URL into the field at "Link to your profile" and hit "Save"

However, there are some review platforms, most prominently Google, Amazon, and eBay who have their special ways of getting to your review page. Here we cover how to get the link to your profile on those sites as well:

Amazon · eBay · Etsy · Google

Amazon Seller Review Link URL

Amazon does not offer the option to rate sellers on their profile page.
Instead, they have a feedback page with a fixed, permanent URL where all of the buyer's purchases are listed together with an option to leave a star rating and review.

The URL for Amazon's seller review page is: https://amazon.com/hz/feedback

The Amazon seller review link URL is pre-filled in the RateMe.link button generator when you pick Amazon as a review platform.
If you are selling from a different country, make sure to replace the .com part with the country-specific domain ending, such as .de or .co.uk

eBay Seller Review Link URL

eBay, like Amazon, does not offer the option to rate sellers on their profile page.
Instead, they have a feedback page with a fixed, permanent URL where all of the buyer's purchases are listed together with an option to leave a rating and review.

The URL for eBay's seller review page is: https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/leave_feedback

The eBay seller review link URL is pre-filled in the RateMe.link button generator when you pick eBay as a review platform.
If you are selling from a different country, make sure to replace the .com part with the country-specific domain ending, such as .de or .co.uk

Etsy Seller Review Link URL

Etsy, like Amazon and eBay, does not offer the option to rate sellers on their profile page.
Instead, they have a feedback page with a fixed, permanent URL where all of the buyer's purchases are listed together with an option to leave a rating and review.

The URL for etsy's seller review page is https://www.etsy.com/your/purchases

The etsy seller review link URL is pre-filled in the RateMe.link button generator when you pick Etsy as a review platform.

Google: Find Your Review Link URL on Google

If you want to get ratings and reviews on Google we recommend setting up a free Google MyBusiness Profile.

I have a Google MyBusiness Profile

With your Google MyBusiness profile you can create a direct link for customers to write a review on Google:
Create a link for customers to write reviews
You can then use this link with your RateMe.link button.

I don't have a Google MyBusiness Profile

If you don't have or want a Google MyBusiness Profile and your place is on Google, it's still possible to link to your review writing page on Google, albeit a bit more work:

The link looks like this https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ALOTOFCHARACTERS.
The first part https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid= is always the same. The second part ALOTOFCHARACTERS is different for each place, this is your individual "Place ID".

To find out your place id:

  1. Go to the Google Maps Place Id Finder and find your place like you would in a normal Google search. Then copy the value of "Place ID" (look something like "ChIJiwV3rBXEyIARRdN3c345tKE")
  2. Use that value as the second part of your link so your link is now https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJiwV3rBXEyIARRdN3c345tKE

That's it, you can then use this link with your RateMe.link button.
